Apple Pineapple Detox Smoothie

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my full Disclaimer policy here.IMG_7253

Mmmmmmm….I love this fresh smoothie.  Tastes like lemonade, only no sugar.  No refined sugar, no dairy…and a little kale for extra goodness.  This recipe is enough to make two good sized smoothies–one to share or one to freeze.

Ingredients
  • 1 Lemon (juice only)
  • 1 Cup Pineapple (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 Apples (peel and core)
  • 1 Cup Ice
  • 1 Cup Cold water (add for desired thickness)
  • 1 Kale leaf (remove leaf from stem)
Instructions
  1. Juice the lemon and add the juice to blender. Add the pineapple, apples, ice, kale, and cold water for desired thickness. Blend and enjoy!  This makes 2 good size smoothies, one to share or freeze.

Start with the juice of one lemon, then add two cups of fresh or frozen pineapple in the blender.  I didn’t have quite enough, so there are a few frozen mangos in this one.

Peel and core 2 apples and put ’em in.  Add a piece of kale, pull the leaf off the stem and just use the leaf.  IMG_7249

Add about a cup of ice and a cup of water to make it all blend easier. IMG_7252

You’ll need a big straw for this one! Yum.IMG_7255IMG_7256

You can freeze it in a plastic cup or a baggie and save for another day!  These defrost really well. Enjoy!IMG_7258
